When I was little, my father used to sit at the table after dinner and draw for his six children — playful clowns, whimsical characters, all magically created out of letters and numbers. He turned art into a game, and without knowing it, planted the first seed of creativity in me.
Years later, on the last day of third grade, my art teacher drew a simple whale. I still remember being utterly captivated, watching each line appear as if it were a spell being cast. My young mind quietly wondered, “Could I be as talented as my father?”
After class, I sat outside and tried drawing my own whale. When the shape finally emerged on the page, something lit up inside me. That moment changed everything. I haven’t stopped drawing, painting, or creating since.
I don’t have a long academic art résumé or formal training — aside from a four-day portrait class I once took in graphite pencil — but I have always been creative. I’ve never felt the need to confine myself to a single medium or style. Instead, I explore. I follow curiosity. I chase color.
My art is my voice — vibrant, intuitive, emotional, and uniquely mine.
I make mistakes, and I welcome them, because some of my most exciting pieces were born from those unexpected turns. My favorite works are the ones I fall in love with as I create them, each holding a piece of my heart.
2022 - Galway Trio chosen to put in the book Artists Eye on Galway and hung from July 4 - July 6th at the Galmont Hotel in Galway, Ireland.
Galway Trio has remained in Ireland to be part of a traveling show depicting the Artists Eye On Galway. Highlighting the arts and artists in Ireland.
